Hexagon 2011, June 6-9 2011 Orlando World Center, Florida, USA

With more than 2 500 attendees from 65 countries, the conference started with hands-on training sessions for Intergraph® and Geosystems solutions that offered the opportunity to learn more about the solutions and then apply that knowledge.

START. Building a Smarter World

The conference officially kicked off with a Welcome Reception. Attendees enjoyed a smart start to their conference experience at the must-attend official opening of the Hexagon 2011 TechExpo! They browsed exhibit booths and explored the latest industry technologies. Attendees relaxed and networked with Hexagon company experts, partners, exhibiting vendors and other attendees while partaking in drinks and hors d’oeuvres during the Hexagon 2011 kick-off.

CEO Keynote: Turning the Pace of Change into the World’s Advantage

In keynote address, Ola Rollen, President and CEO, Hexagon AB discussed the importance of Hexagon’s technologies in understanding the face of the future. The Company’s divisional presidents joined him in an integrated story of methodical innovations, new ideas and creativity. The global realities of today present both challenge and opportunity. The growing population, the ever-changing landscape and the accelerating need for more effective use of our land and resources are just a few of the by-products of our past decisions. In today’s global age, a strong determination to outpace change – to build a smarter business, a smarter economy, a smarter world – must dictate the outcome of our next move. Anticipating evolving needs requires innovation and revolutionary thinking, as well as an understanding that all things are connected. It demands the ability to see where we are, understand how we got here and predict where we’re going. It’s about knowing how to identify opportunities and to reinvent. Following the keynote, a special presentation just for Hexagon 2011 attendees was performed by the Water Coolers – a high-powered, laugh-outloud combination of sketch comedy and music featuring top Broadway singers and comedians. E! Entertainment Television called this hilarious act “the hottest ticket in town!”
