RIEGL LMS-Q1560 deployed at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory

NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) has recently deployed RIEGL LMS-Q1560 airborne laser scanner system. It is being utilized to more completely and accurately measure snowpack depth of major mountain watersheds. This will be accomplished through the use of innovative airborne LiDAR from RIEGL to better gauge the volume of water that travels down rivers and streams as runoff from snowpack.

Low-power GPS modules target wearables

CSR and OriginGPS, Israel have announced new GNSS modules using CSR’s SiRFstarIV and SiRFstarV product lines. The new modules are 70% smaller than current solutions and deliver a 30% reduction in Time To First Fix (TTFF). Common navigation space established
