The new Leica IPAS Freebird

Mar 2010 | No Comment

Leica Geosystems announced a new version of its IPAS GNSS-IMU processing software. The new Leica IPAS Freebird is designed to improve flight economy and simplify GNSS-IMU processing. Leica IPAS Freebird no longer requires a continuous lock of satellites and frees up your mission planning by allowing much tighter turns between flight lines. The results are up to 25% improvement in flight economy for sensor missions and time saving of several minutes per turn.

Previously, GNSS-IMU processing required separate steps for GNSS trajectory and IMU processing. The all new Leica IPAS Freebird with IPAS TC allows you to combine those steps into one by using GNSS raw measurements and tightly coupled GNSS-IMU processing.
