Interior Department announces appointments to NGAC

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar has appointed 14 individuals to serve as members of the National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC), USA. The NGAC provides advice and recommendations on federal geospatial policy and management issues as well as a forum to convey views representative of partners in the geospatial community. The NGAC provides advice on the development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI), which promotes sharing of geospatial data throughout all levels of government, the private and nonprofit sectors and the academic community.
