Hexagon launches handheld 3D Scanners

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division has introduced its first handheld 3D scanning devices, ATLASCAN Max and MARVELSCAN, enhancing flexibility and precision in manufacturing inspection.

Key features include ergonomic, thumb-operated controls, eliminating the need for a control PC during measurements. Users can switch between Standard and Fine modes, with data automatically consolidated into a single point cloud. MARVELSCAN’s built-in photogrammetry offers targetless scanning, enhancing accuracy for large or repetitive parts. Both devices operate wirelessly with battery-powered autonomy, providing complete freedom of movement and easy integration with industrial robots.
