XXV International FIG Congress 2014

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 16 – 21 June 2014


The XXV International FIG Congress will take place at a purpose-built convention and exhibition facility strategically located within the Kuala Lumpur City Centre overlooking the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. The Congress is jointly organised by FIG and the Association of Authorized Land Surveyors Malaysia (PEJUTA).

The silver jubilee Congress will be a grand celebration! The celebration will be a mix of interesting plenary and technical sessions and workshops; a trade exhibition and a variety of side events and social functions, giving a unique opportunity to discuss best practices within the surveying profession with fellow peers. The Kuala Lumpur 2014 FIG Congress will be a memorable experience not to be missed.

The theme is “Engaging the Challenges, Enhancing the Relevance” and the Congress program will showcase the work of FIG and its Commissions, Task Forces, Networks and Permanent Institutions. The program will be underpinned by invited high level key note speakers in four plenary sessions. The four consecutive congress days will be offering up to 14 parallel sessions and workshops. Presentations will comprise of peer reviewed, scientific, academic, technical and practical papers, thus FIG Congress 2014 will gather international practitioners and academics from all disciplines within the surveying, geospatial, natural and built environment professions, and all in all this will allow more than 800 presentations in the entire broadness of the surveying profession. In addition a range of technical tours will be offered aimed at highlighting the role of the profession in Malaysia and set across the broad context of FIG’s Commissions.
