New GPS receiver from Magellan

Magellan Navigation has developed a new receiver with patented means to use multiple GNSS constellations for high accuracy positioning and surveying solutions, ProFlex 500. The new system is available in single or dual-frequency versions. Each ensures RTK performance with a precision ranging from sub-metre to centimetre level.

Embedded communication features for maximum flexibility and resistance to adverse weather conditions include integrated GSM, UHF and Bluetooth for wireless options as well as Ethernet and USB connections. All output connections are optically isolated to prevent problems with installation for shipboard applications. Capable of rapid initialisation and transmitting both GPS and GLONASS data, the systems are suited for coastal works, dredging and bathymetry in addition to on and offshore applications.
