The opponents felt that the proposed bills,

May damage the free and open Internet and its growth.

The issues of piracy and intellectual property rights are very serious.

However, to deal with them,

An approach is required,

That is not only effective but is also acceptable.

Else, it may be perceived as an attack on ‘freedom’,

That is more fundamental and precious,

Than what these bills project to protect.
