Carlson Civil and Hydrology 2021 increase productivity and efficiency

Sep 2020 | No Comment

Carlson’s latest releases of Civil and Hydrology include time-saving innovations and automated new features, as well as improvements to many existing commands.

There are several, new, time-saving parking layout tools including ParkingNet which works from multiple alignments like Road Network. There’s also a ‘Parking Inside Perimeter’ which creates a parking layout within a closed polyline, then dynamically updates as you edit the perimeter. ‘Parking along alignment’ creates a series of parking stalls, islands, and zones along a centerline and allows elevation for quick site modeling. There’s also a new ‘parking island’ command for the quick creation of these features.

The Triangulation Surface Manager sees updates including an ‘undo’ command as well as ‘apply’ to save your changes to the TIN file, both without leaving the editor. There is also now a change log that you can use to view all changes made to the document and revert to any previous state.

In Road Network, users can now draw profiles and cross sections from a selected road, there’s a new ‘hammerhead’ style cul-de-sac, there is support for self-intersecting roads, and also a design template to place a berm at the top of a fill.

Curb Profiles is a new feature that creates profiles for the top of curb, back of curb, and gutter flow line from a reference edge-of-pavement profile, allowing you to apply different curb types by station range from a library of curb types.

HydroNet Explorer added processing methods for EPA SWMM and Rational, as well as reporting for both the pre and post analysis results.
